Banham Parish Council is a local government body that can voice the opinions and concerns of its parishioners on many issues including planning applications on which the District Council will confer.

A natural role of the Parish Council is taking the lead on issues affecting the interest of its area. Functions include providing and maintaining recreational areas within the Parish, footpath maintenance and public notifications.

Council meetings are public meetings, open to all, and are held each month on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30p.m. in the Community Centre.

The council welcomes questions and comments about the parish. To contact the council please write, telephone or email the Clerk of the Council:

In response to concerns raised, Banham Parish Council are to hold a village clean up day on Saturday 11th July 2009. Breckland District Council are to provide us with stylish fluorescent jackets and litter pick sticks and sacks. The more help we have, the more we can achieve, and we hope this will be a great day for all ages to bring the community together. If you feel you could help on the day please register your interest with the Parish Clerk at banhamclerk1@btinternet.com, or by phone on 01953 887327, it will only be for a couple of hours and together we can make a difference.
